Working alongside trained technicians and sometimes on my own. Things I do are diagnostic task, repair and maintenance, servicing, and pre delivery insections.
Yes how to use diagnostic software, how to do repair and maintained on chassis sytems, some engine inlet and exhaust system repairs and replacements. Learning the theory side of the job like chassis systems and how they work, basic electrics like relays, starter motors, alternators and how to test them. And about servicing, differnt types of oils used, what to looks for on a service and how to inspect.
I enjoy learning obout the practical side and also the theory side.
I think it is well structured with 2 week college blocks every 6 weeks or so down at Bristol college
I receive some good support with me been able to learn off qualified technicians and how to carry out the task
I receive support when I am down at Bristol college. And I also have a tutor who comes into the workplace once a month for a progress review
I gives me a good understanding of how to apply the skills I've learnt at college in the workshop
