I am currently part of the disputes team which allows me to work on a variety of different projects, from expert witness cases to completion account reviews. This allows me to get involved in many different areas of accounting and also liaise with a lot of different entities to enhance my skills.
I have developed many additional communication skills through my role by speaking with multiple different countries and entities. This has allowed me to learn how different cultures operate and the expectations of different levels of staff. I have also gained extra confidence in my accounting skills and techniques on excel.
The people and culture at PwC are great. They have allowed me to really focus in on the areas I wish to develop. The college and protected time to study is one of the best things about the programme as it allows me to focus on my exams when necessary.
The programme has a very set out structure that is easy to follow and know what i need to be doing when. There is also a vast range of additional opportunities through project and business development work to allow me to develop these skills further. The points of contact for any queries are always there to help.
I couldn't ask for more support. There is always someone there to ask any queries and they always reply promptly. The communication between PwC and Kaplan is always shared and frequent to make sure any changes or issues are smoothed out as quickly as possible. The staff are also great!
The level of support is great. There is always someone to answer any questions surrounding content whether this be through an online form or in person tutors. The in person days are always well organised and structured to get the most out of the time that we are in college.
Without the knowledge and skills that I have gained through my course I would not be able to undertake my day to day job. There is a lot of complex calculations that are necessary to complete my role to the required standard which have been taught to me. This also gives me confidence in my ability and communications
I take part in additional mentoring through PwC to help develop my skills to other social enterprises. I also am part of a social team that sets up and runs team socials. When i first started there was a rugby team that I was part of but has since been disband.
