The role space from dealing with clients both with phone calls and email, cleaning data provided by them using simple softwares like excel, testing accounts with receivables and invoices and ensure that the entity audited have stated the true in the financial statements, giving a true representation of the reality.
Yes, I learnt many skills, both soft and hard skills. They space from communication with clients and teams, increasing the proficiency in a second language as a foreigner giving me more confidence, to more technical skills like the correct use of shortcuts in excel, data cleaning and drafting of financial statements
It is a good programme itself even if I believe that being a really big company the crucial difference is made by the single people of your team. From managers and colleagues in general, to admin and mentors, everyone could make this experience the best one ever or completely ruin your expectations.
I believe that better results could be achieved. The programme is really engaging from the practical work but puts too much pressure toward a professional qualification that should be achieved in really tight times. Many struggled, some left and I believe that in the long run many could suffer the effects of this.
Employer itself puts a really kind and capable professional qualification team that is always eager to help you for any problem, big or small. The deep problem of the scheme is however out of the hands of the employer but more about the programme itself and the support received could just not be enough but not because of the professional qualification team's fault
Training provider seems more focused on documenting your progress, usually even not thinking too much about possible busy periods where you simply do not have time to deal with that. Everything seems urgent despite the fact that it is not. The support received from single talent coaches again is subjective, depending from the one that has been assigned to you.
I do not think that the qualification help you at all towards this job. I learned more working than in class and simply 90% of the content of the ACA qualification will end up not even being used. The remaining 10% can be easily be searched on the spot. Overall this is a job that should be taught, not learned on a book and more time and money should be spent on a proper mentorship of the new joiners other than on exams that only harm the mental health of the people
There are so many different activities to take part. From organisations, sport teams and nationality based groups there is just to chose the ones more aligned with you. Some people are highly involved in these, other prefer a more quiet interaction but everybody makes you feel welcome for every choice you make.
Yes
Yes because is a great company, rich of nice people and I believe that they are the key difference makers. A great team is the best benefit that you could ask. There is however a great deal with the professional qualification pathway that is not for everyone and many could find difficulties going through that
Prepare yourself to embak for a journey that will provide you with many skills. The company is great and people are eager to teach you. If you find someone not willing to do that, ask to change team because you can not miss out this opportunity. The professional qualification is hard and more a "checkpoint" to achieve than something that will help you with the job.
