I undertake basic tax advice for our clients as well as internal requirements. We advise large multinational companies on their international and national affairs. I undertake tax computations, gather advice on internal group transfers as well as complete billing internally.
We are completing the ICAEW chartered accountant qualification which requires a number of exams in very quick succession. I have started to develop my accountancy and audit skills as well as further my tax knowledge.
The more time i spend here and the more involved i get with clients the more i enjoy the job. It is so varied and they place high levels of trust in you, even if you only just started.
The organisation is so good in so many aspects and we have very set goals as to when we can progress. They want you to be as involved as possible from very early on.
You receive an extensive support system, you have a buddy and a career coach as well as a rotation manager and a whole intake support team. Any of which will help you with queries or obtaining work. It is really good.
We have access to an online training portal at all times, it has an extensive question bank and also they have a specific support email which we can ask questions on. It is really helpful and the study materials available are extensive.
It will absolutely give me the specialist knowledge that i require to be better in my role at giving tax advice and assisting our clients.
There is a monthly social which is fantastic and regular team events. They are very creative at celebrating diversity in the workplace and it is really enjoyable to be a part of.
