As a Digital Design Apprentice, I work with a varied team consisting of Product Owners, UX designers, Client Experience and different stakeholders to improve the digital experience clients have through Christie’s website. A structured design process is followed. I engage with platforms such as User Testing, Quantum metrics (analytics and insights) and Figma (design platform) to carry out live design projects. I really enjoy the discovery phase of design involving research, looking at the current digital market, brain storming ideas and lots of creative problem solving.
I have learnt how to use Figma which is a design platform the design team uses daily. I am learning how to use Quantum Metrics, User testing and Webflow. My creative problem solving skills are challenged and I am learning how to create design solutions from a website users perspective. I am on the Business Transformation Fellowship programme which allows me to develop valuable business analyst skills, I find the course content very interesting. The skills I am learning will be transferable too many different roles in the future.
I am really enjoying the programme and I look forward to progressing within my role. The programme allows me to meet lots of people within Christies and its wonderful to be part of exciting auctions and amazing art.
The programme is very structured and organised.
I receive plenty of support from my employer and I know who to reach out to if I have questions or concerns.
My coach at Multiverse is incredibly supportive and is very good at explaining course content and helping me with projects. My questions are always answered and I am given lots of guidance.
My qualification allows me to perform well in my role. I speak with my team or coach at Multiverse if I have trouble aligning my qualification with my role.
There are lots of activities to get involved in at work from life drawing classes to wine tasting! There are gallery viewings and talks you can attend and online courses which expand my knowledge of the auction and art world. There are plenty of networking events.
