  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The tutor is friendly and approachable. She helps at every stage. Keeping me up to date on progress, marking work and giving constructive feedback. She is also encouraging and helps with advice if required. The programme is flexible and fits in well with work commitments. Its accessible and there is support when needed.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured well and enables you to learn at your own pace. As opportunities come up at work my tutor then focusses on that section of learning, enabling me to learn and have the practical skills at the same time where possible. She also co ordinates with my line manager to ensure that she gives background tasks to support work coming up in the future.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager gives me lots of support. She ensures I have the opportunities I need to use the learning and is always there to ensure that she gives advice and help where she can. She asks how the programme is going and makes sure share that information with other members of the team so that they both understand where I am and enables them to give me extra learning opportunities.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Lots of advice and support when asked for. I personally would prefer some more learning resources that could be accessed in my own time to back up learning. Maybe some course website links of a learning pack. This would enable me to go over prior learning when I needed to.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A lot of the skills I am actually using in my role or have been introduced too but and have briefly learnt but not developed fully. It has highlighted some areas I need some deeper learning into and some areas where I felt confident and it helped me to recognise that skills.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • AT the moment I work remotely and we do have online events that I can attend and there have been a few team meetings during my time with HEE but social events are difficult as all staff are remote and live at different parts of the UK. I have plenty of social events outside work.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Health Education England to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The staff are very nice and friendly. All staff are happy to help and support. The leaders of my department are particularly keen for people not to be treated in a hierarchical manner and all staff to be treated equally despite their position. They are understand of individual needs and try their best to accommodate them,

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Health Education England?
  • This is difficult as HEE will no longer exist after April 2023 as it will then merge with NHSE to create one organisation. For this reason further candidates will not have the opportunity to apply to HEE for a job or apprenticeship. If it was continuing then I would recommend it as an employer
