  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have spent time in the valuation department and more recently the industrial agency team. I have freedom to conduct my own projects as well as providing support within the team.

    9/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • To a great extent, especially having the freedom to rotate into departments I have particular interest in

    8/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organised on my employers part. Not great organisation from training provider and professional body (RICS).

    6/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Plenty from the employer, colleagues are very willing to help with checking my assessed work and providing me with mock Q&A's on the structured training side. I always feel supported in my professional work from line manager etc.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Quite poor amounts, a lot have been cancelled and then rearranged with shorter slots than the original. Recently I have been completing my structured training for RICS membership and was given 6 hours notice from training provider for a crucial element of the submission (despite having a month till deadline).

    4/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It could be better. Would rather have not been an online course. Still managed to achieve 2:1 so respect where its due to the university/training provider.

    7/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Plenty

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Feel reasonably paid compared to the industry, good social aspects, great internal training and support, plenty of opportunities to work in a variety of markets within the industry.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
  • Show your eagerness to succeed and be proactive in your approach to the application. Real Estate is a 'people industry' and showing you a positive outlook will pay dividends.
