  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Generally my day will consist of a Morning meeting followed by 2 hours of call outs including internet registrations, booking and conducting viewings after 12pm. I will also book in market appraisals and valuations for my colleagues. i will then give vendor feedback for the previous days viewings. Throughout the day i will also follow sales progression and call for viewers feedback.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills, from basics such as sending emails and answering the phone to booking and conducting my own viewings. Building up my own applicants and learning the sales process from the initial enquiry to the exchange and completion. I've learnt how to network with colleagues and strangers and build a personal portfolio for myself.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I always wake up looking forward to work and what the day may bring. Although the job role is structured no day is the same and there is lots of variety. I love telling people what I do for my job as I'm very proud of the role I'm in. As well as the day to day job, there is training days, awards and social events that are always enjoyable and fun to attend.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship consist of 80% work in the office and 20% off the job learning. I have one designated day a week at home where I complete all set assignments. Once a month we have a set training day were the other apprentices and I meet with our trainer and learn a new module. Assignments are set and we then have 3 weeks (roughly) to complete these on our 20% off the job days.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our training provider has been great from the outset. He has always offered us the most support and goes above and beyond to make sure we have the best knowledge so we can apply this to our role as well as for our exams. We meet once a month for training. My Training Provider is only ever a call away and will always do what he can to help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Our training prover was in the industry prior to becoming a trainer. This means he could push his knowledge from his experience on to us making it a much more thorough and making it a more personal approach to training. The great thing is we are learning whilst working so as well as being taught by our trainer were learning from our colleagues so we take what we learn from training and apply this at work.
