Carry out maintenance on the machinery across the plant (Breakdown maintenance and Preventative Maintenance). If the machine breaks down it is our responsibility to fix the issue and get it running again as soon as possible.
Earned the relevant knowledge and qualifications needed for the role.
Enjoyed the apprenticeship as a whole. You will receive the knowledge that is required for the job while learning the practical skills needed to confidently use that knowledge in real world situations.
First Year full time college doing Level 3 and then 2nd Year is day release finishing the level 3. After that is 2 years doing HNC on day release. The college aspect of the scheme is not as organized as your work plan in plant.
Support is provided whenever it is needed but you are left to develop skills independently when possible.
Time is provided to carry out work on all qualifications you are working towards. Support is provided when extra time or help is required to reach those goals you are being set.
Qualifications provided are relevant and necessary for the job role which I am doing.
Carrying out work to help out the community is encouraged and time is provided by Cummins to help with the ongoing projects they are running.
