On a day to day basis you start by making sure your work area is clean and then you just undertake and work under someone as in your mentor and get really hands on with whatever job your doing it’s really good fun and you expand your knowledge a lot
Yes I have learnt plenty of new skills such as finally getting or some what getting what electrics and the basics of it and how to determine electrical faults also being able to diagnose a lot more faults with out the need of much assistance is really good and helps with confidence
I enjoy the programs a lot as it’s majority of the time being in the workshop don’t get me wrong I don’t mind going to college but I feel like o learn much more when I’m actually hands on rather than undertaking theory that’s just my personal experience
I think the structure of it is good because I mean it speaks for itself just have a look at how many apprentices from daf and motus have gone on to achieve bigger and better things within the company and gone on to win so many prestigious awards it speaks for itself
I receive a ton of support from my employer when I need a hand with anything all I have to is ask and I know my boss mark price will go above and beyond to help the best he can and not just him but from all my colleagues in the workplace and in college
As I mentioned previously I receive a good amount of support now that I have a tutor who helps you understand in such depth and takes the time to make sure you understand and goes through with you when ever you feel like you’re lost or don’t know or having a hard time he explains it in a way that you can understand
It shows the behind the scenes like most things theory based is not mentioned as much as it is when I college and just shows that so much is expected from you and you have a lot of responsibilities on your shoulder as a technician when talking o licenses and vehicle safety
I think there are but I don’t have much time outside of work to get involved or don’t tend to ask as I am quite a shy and timid individual but there’s plenty to get on with I believe
Yes
Because down here at motus even though it’s the biggest and the team is big it somehow still feels like we’re all one and sort of like a family vibe, you get the banter aspect and everyone’s focused everyone knows their role in the company and how they can help one another and it’s just heart warming to feel the sense that you belong somewhere
I would just go ahead and apply as it probably one of the best decisions youlll make in you career
