My role as a travel advisor consists of me providing positive customer service and being able to give my customers the best service possible, no matter what they might come in for. I take payments from customers, either towards a deposit or a full holiday payment and help customers with any queries they might have.
Since working for TUI UK & Ireland I believe I have became much more confident in myself when talking to other people, I also believe that I have became much more careful aswell, because I know if i was to make a mistake on my company's behalf, it could hurt my sotre's, or my entire company's reputation.
I have enjoyed every minute of working at TUI, and this enjoyment ranges from when I'm talking to customers about their dream holidays, to building up a positive rapport with all my colleagues. I show up to work on time every single day and I would never go to sleep dreading waking up because I know I have work the next day.
my programme is very well structured and I believe that I am receiving the best help possible at this stage of my career. I have been put into a Microsoft Teams page with every other apprentice in my company and I always have monthly calls with my apprenticeship assessor to see how well I'm doing progress-wise.
I think the support that I am receiving is the perfect amount. I receive help whenever I need it, whether that be with helping a customer or completing work assignments towards my apprenticeship. I have a personalised structure of work to be doing and if I were ever to become overwhelmed I know my assessor would help me.
Without trying to feel like a broken record I believe my assessor provides me with the right amount of support and if I ever requested more work to help me towards my goal, he would always send it my way. I feel like my assessor really does care about how I'm doing and it makes it much easier to request assistance if I ever needed it.
My qualification consists of lots of things to do and questions to answer that are perfectly related to my job role, if I didn't have these assignments to do I don't believe I would be doing as confidently in my job as I currently am, I believe everything I've been set is helping me towards my goal
Every Friday we'll have a half an hour training session which will be based on something that we may have struggled with in the previous work week, every now and then we'll have free breakfasts provided and that really helps me to become more confident when talking with my colleagues
Yes
I really think it's helped me in more ways than just a professional type of way. I've really came out of my shell since working here and the work environment that this company prides itself on is perfect for helping everybody as it's a workplace where you can always be improving yourself.
If you're thinking about applying to TUI UK and Ireland, I would definitely recommend you go for it, I believe this was the best decision I could've possibly made at this time of my career and I believe it will be the best help for me to get where I want to be professionally
