These points are in relation to my first of 8 placements at E.ON so they are likely to change to benefit my learning: Onboarding Suppliers using Synertrade - Undertake competitive tendering activity - Using Supply chain systems (Including SAP , CLM ) - Justifying single tenders where required - Taking part in B2B project meetings - Supplier relationship management - Take part and lead UK Supply Chain team activities and events.
Yes, I have learnt significant industry standard software such as SAP , PowerBI and developed all my Microsoft Office skills especially Powerpoint and Excel. In addition to this, I have networked significantly since joining 6 months ago. Not forgetting through my own research and knowledge from colleagues, I have learnt about many industry procurement practices in relation to sourcing and contract management.
My programme is varied and exciting with E.ON giving me the opportunities to have insight into the business and industry. I have moved away from my hometown and settled in well with a number of other Degree apprentices who are all very welcoming in the business community.
My programme structure is down to me , however I receive a lot of support from the university, my mentor and other apprentices. I have the opportunity to shape my own career, from choosing my own placements within the business to creating and leading projects. From a university point of view, the deadlines are very clear and obvious.
My employer provides me with lots of support when it comes to university giving us specific work for assignments. We are motivated to get high grades by wage incentives, there are many support networks in the business to help us with any problems we may have and to make us feel part of the community.
Leeds Trinity University provides us with enough support. Even though the course is remote from the university, they are always at hand by email or teams messages and calls to assist us. This also relates to the supply chain academy in Upminster in relation to our assignments. For every module, we receive support booklets via Moodle.
I can understand that from a provider point of view, it is very difficult to tailor a course to so many businesses that vary in industry, however when we are in the classroom based learning environment, our lecturers understand what businesses we work for and how they operate. Every example they give then relates to at least one business on the course.
My workplace gives me the opportunity to participate in a number of extra-curricular activities in the form of networks and work-streams. All of these networks are optional and extremely varied. They are commonly based around knowledge / experience sharing and relate to our business by supporting in events and training opportunities. Some of these include Careers , LGBTQ+ , Sustainability , Neurodiversity , Future Energy Leaders , EDI and many many more.

E.ON is an amazing modern company that I would say are leading in working practices and innovation. If you need any more reasons to apply the previous questions go into a lot more detail. They have a very supportive community at E.ON and are always promoting wellbeing and personal development.
Just be yourself! Do not worry too much about the interview process. Just try to relax and be confident. All of the interviewers are just normal colleagues that are looking to see you succeed and may even be working in your department. If you do not understand anything, ask the interviewer to explain what answer they are looking for.
