In my role, I invite customers in and talk to them about where they are looking to go on holiday to and how long they are looking to go for. I help them with questions they have about locations and their holidays. I also take payments for the customers when they come in store.
I have learnt many new skills such as, how to use different systems, how to take different kinds of payments. I have also developed my customer service skills, team working skills and leadership skills. I have learnt new about new areas of the world and all the different things there are to do there.
I really enjoy my programme not only because i am getting to learn on the job, I am getting to talk to customers and learn new things about them and their experiences abroad and with our company. I also work in a good environment surrounded by lovely people who support me and help me when I need it.
My programme is well structured and it doesn't rush us to get everything done within a small time period as they space out the programme work to give us time to do it and learn and do everything to the best of our ability which helps us not feel as stressed with the workload.
I receive a never-ending amount of support from my employer as they are always bringing new things out to help me in whatever way I may need, whether it be with skills I haven't quite got yet, to physical support and mental support, and they also encourage us to live a healthy lifestyle.
My training provider gives us lots of information based on what work we have been assigned at that time to help us understand what it is we need to look at to be able to understand the work and to learn. They also give us quizzes to help us recall information that we have learnt throughout each stage of the programme.
I am very confident that my training for my qualification helps me perform better in my role because it allows to me know more information about what customers are looking for so I can help them find what they want easier and quicker since I have done the research on the place.
