  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a corporate assistant this includes assisting olders such as managers and seniors in there audit work.I am new to the job so I focus on payroll which includes preparing lead schedules, looking at starters and leavers to a company and preparing payroll summaries to ensure the audit work is complete affectively.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My Communication have developed since working at mazars, I know how to alter my communication when talking to my pears my seniors and when I talk to clients as this requires different tones of communication.My confidence has grew massively I am no longer shy when talking in a team.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying my programme.I belive it is giving me knowledge that is flourishing my accountancy skills including maths and problem solving, but at the same time giving me the life skills and life experience I will need to futher my career.My programme allows me to work and study which gives me the best of both worlds

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is structured in a way that suits me best, I have time for my9-5 job and during this time I will be using the knowledge I am learning during collage outside of work I know how to differentiate Between them both but when in times of need I bring the knowledge together.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer supports me with everything I do. Not only can I go to them about issues at work or when I don’t understand the task I’ve been giving I can also ask them about my collage work and they’ll be more than happy to assist me .

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I don’t feel I am receiving enough support from my training supplier. I have emailed asking support with my exams and not received a reply on many occasions I feel that the teaching isn’t the best quality and the teacher don’t care enough about you when you finish the collage day to respond after hours when I’m struggling

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that my qualification directly links to my job role at this point in time. The work I’m doing on the preparing financial accounts exam is giving me understanding as to why the clients accounts are set up the way they are and how to read and understand the layout of the accounts.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The extra curricular at my work is never ending there are all sorts from sports including a 5 aside football and 5 aside netball team to days to booking reading and scrabble clubs there is something for everyone which makes you feel you can fit in to the group no matter your interests

  • Mazars is a great company to work for, you can tell they care about you as a person through the ongoing support you receive in everything you do. They guid you to do the best that you can and help you further your career by challenging you when neccassary so you flourish


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Forvis Mazars?
  • First thing is he yourself, be confident and don’t hold back.you should showcase your skills and not be embarsssd because mazars will use these skills to your advantage in the workplace which helps you and them and also the client there is space for everyone so don’t hold back
