  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Ensuring funding requests are sent out and updating suppliers/clients on payment dates. Also, making sure there is enough funds within the accounts to make payments of invoice. Furthermore, I also deal with different queries and help in trying to get them solved.

  • I have learnt how the system within my company work, how invoices are processed through paid and have enhanced my overall excel knowledge. Also, I developed my communication skills with clients and suppliers and being more efficient.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying the programme so far as I am getting an insight of how it is to be working within the sector of finance. Also, I am applying the knowledge I ascertained from my apprenticeship to my workplace. Overall, gaining valuable hands on experience as a client accountant.

  • The programme is structured well and allows time for me to focus on my apprenticeship as well as work.

  • I receive a lot of support and I am able to ask for help whenever I need it.

  • I receive a lot of help and I am able to reach out for advice if need be. Also, weekly catch ups are very helpful as it helps with understanding what to do for my AAT apprenticeship.

  • I am able apply the knowledge I learn within my apprenticeship programme to my workplace which makes understanding information at work easier. So I feel that my qualification helps quite a bit.

  • Yes, there is often many different things to get involved in at work.
