  • My role within Decision Science is Lead Decision Analyst, in the DSAI (Data Science and Analytics Innovation Team). Decision Science aims to improve decision speed and quality, through collaboration with functional and IT/supplier teams

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I am still very early into my apprenticeship and knew going in that the earliest modules would be very basic, going over existing skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The course itself is good - however I really think that face to face learning is better. There are some rude people in our cohort that will write messages such as "I'm leaving tell me when you've moved on from this topic" when a less experienced tutor was leading the session and got caught up explaining something by one or two people in the cohort that had lots of questions.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Pretty organised but the UI is not very intuitive

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Cannot fault whitbread

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Coach is supportive and nice to have a direct line of contact.

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It will absolutely provide value going forwards - currently it's very early in my course so quite basic but it has changed the way I think about approaching projects so already getting some small benefit

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There isn't loads that I'm aware of - but not really something I have looked for, but I don't hear others talking about it.

    6/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Whitbread to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • At Whitbread you are an individual and cared for. The work life balance is unmatched.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread?
  • Whitbread will celebrate your individuality, so being open and honest in your interview will be good for you. An interview is as much for you to see if the company is a good fit for you, as much as it is for the company to see if you're a good candidate
