As a Team leader my job day to day can be varied. This is from providing customer service and answering customer queries, to answering duty calls. A main part of my job role is to work alongside my team by guiding and supporting to complete everyday tasks. I have also been recently trained as a fire champion as well a first aider, so will also have duties to carry out when required. On top of this responsibilities, I also have daily, weekly, monthly checks to carry out to ensure we are operating a safe store.
I have learnt may knew skills during my apprenticeship, including training days. But I have also been able to develop my current skills and take those to the next level. This includes my knowledge of products, company policies and processes.
I have enjoyed completing my apprenticeship as brings in a different aspect of learning at work. Being able to learn something on my programme and the to put the knowledge that I have learnt into action can be really rewarding.
I found the apprenticeship to be well organised, as the programme is set up to feel like it doesn't overwhelm you, which I fought it might have as I work fulltime and also have out of work commitments.
I have received lots of support from my employer, from shadowing them to learn and develop skills as well as being allocated time to be able to complete my apprenticeship away from the shop floor.
Always fast to respond to any help or support I need. As well providing positive feedback on any work I have submitted.
My apprenticeship has given me lots of confidence and knowledge to help me perform any tasks at work to the best of my ability. It also gave me the insight to use my own initiative to come up with ideas to help.
