  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During my apprenticeship i have learnt/developed many things. From how PESTLE (external factors) affect business, built on my understanding of our companies values, policies and procedures. I have found the includED modules really helpful as they have made me stop and think about numerous topics, how they affect me, and how they could be highlighted in the workplace. I am currently at the project stage of my apprenticeship and have been provided with some useful tools and aides that will help with my project planning.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme as it gets me thinking about different topics, how they relate to my role and how i can use the skills and topics covered to improve in my role. • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I have regular meetings with my tutor during which we go through work i have completed, and then modules that need to be assigned. This is all done via Bud, which clearly outlines work set, with detail of what is to be covered in each topic, with clear deadlines. It is also an easy system to submit completed work to, review past work and see what is still to be covered.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive, as i am assigned tasks i will often use my manager as a soundboard to decide how to complete the allocated task, or agree which part of my role the module relates to. I am at project planning stage, and we held a meeting to agree which project could best align to the criteria of the apprenticeship and i am confident with his support, i will complete to a high standard.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My Training provider has been very supportive, as previously mentioned, i hold regular meetings with my tutor. My tutor is also always at the end of the phone/email and is very prompt at responding to any queries i may have. I am nearing the end of the apprenticeship and i am confident that they will provide me with the right level of support to pass my exam and assessment.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A lot of the modules (but not all), fit in well with my job role. Having the time to work through certain topics and areas has allowed me to reflect and look how i complete different tasks in my role, allowing me to adapt my work to take into account skills learnt in the apprenticeship. For example, with my project planning i have been introduce to GANT and RACI charts, two things i have not previously used, but i can already see where these tools would be useful in planning certain aspects of me work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Working as an assistant, the team i work within is nationwide, so although there are not thing as a team i can directly get involved in. We have units that carry out event days that i could attend. The office in which i work out of will often arrange for meals or evenings out to socialise as a group. We also have managers meetings and a Christmas gathering that allows me to socialise with my peers in a relaxed setting.
