My role includes filling out reports on a monthly basis and as I am in the forecasting and budgeting function I am involved in reports to do with forecasting. I am also required to shift cost entries from certain entities to the salary line.
I have massively improved my Excel skills. Being in the finance function we use Excel in most things we do so I have learnt a lot in my experience. One skill which is new that I didn't learn before is how to use Power BI.
It has genuinely been so much better than I expected. Initially I thought I would be overworked but I was completely wrong. I was given sufficient training and then slowly given tasks that weren't too much of a burden straight away.
The programme has been structured well and includes exactly what I want.
The support has been more than I can ask for. If I have any problems with any of my tasks I can easily reach out to anyone suitable to help me and they would without a problem.
The training provider has given us in person college dates for us to learn the content in person and then also given us online lectures which we can learn from if we missed anything in class. Then on top of that Mock exams we can use to test ourselves.
To be honest it is quite different as we are working in a bank so the content does not directly relate, that is right now and may change later as we are only AAT level 3 for now.
There has been a wealth of networking events and activities including the Innovation Taskmasters which has proved to be quite fun where we get into groups and compete against each other in certain team activities. It has been quite fun both times I went to them.
Yes
It is a great working environment where the people are genuinely nice and care about you and you can get your experience and work towards your qualification at the same time.
Research about the company and look at your previous experience and how that can relate to working at UBS for the qualities they are looking for which can be found in the job specification.
