My role is to take customers orders. Give customers their orders. I make sure each order is correct and it has everything they need. No missing items. I make cold and hot drinks. I make milkshakes. I make McFlurrys with a variety of toppings. I am responsible for taking payments.
I have learnt lots of new skills as it is my first time working in a fast food restaurant and a customer service role. I have learnt the correct procedures for my role. I have learnt each station and what is involved with each station. It has given me more confidence
I have definitely enjoyed the programme. Some parts I found interesting and some parts were not quite relevant but still interesting to learn about. I have enjoyed working with my mentor. I have a good manager in work who is always available for the answers to questions I have . Yes
I think it is structured very well. I like that each part is split up into sections and then split into the months that it needs to be completed in. I think it is well organised. The layout is also good. This works well for me as a person who needs things planned out
I receive a very good amount of support from my manager Natalie. She has been an amazing help throughout this whole apprenticeship. She has helped me when I have been anxious about tests and always helps me when I have questions or need to find information out that I don’t know
I have received a good amount of support from the training provider. Up until this week I have had the same person to deal with. It has just changed over and I have met my new person and she seems amazing and very knowledgeable as she is specific to the McDonald’s team
I think it gives me a wider understanding of my role and how to properly interact with customers to make sure they have lots of feel good moments. I also think it has helped me gain a lot more confidence in myself. I feel good in my role and yes
There is lots of extra training on the McDonald’s employees website. We can learn about all the different menus that come out throughout the year. Also information on the new app . This then helps us help the customers who sometimes have trouble using it to order their food or drinks
Yes
It is a good place to work. It is very flexible with the hours you can work. You get a good rate of pay. You build up holidays. You can work your way up within the store then the organisation if you wanted to. Friendly staff and helpful and a good team
Be open to learning lots of new skills that will help you with all aspects of your life. Don’t be scared as everyone is very friendly and the crew trainers are fully knowledgable in their roles and will train you fully up before you have to do anything on your own
