Managing and automating infrastructure provisioning processes in Azure using Azure Resource Manager. Monitoring the health of applications and infrastructure using Azure Service Health, and setting up alerts and notifications to respond to the issues that are flagged.
I learnt and developed on my existing knowledge and experience using Python, this is especially important when working within Powershell, Cloudshell or the Command Line Interface. I have also learnt new skills in IT Service Management, understanding the relationship between organisations and consumers/suppliers in the co-creation of value.
My team is very inclusive and supportive. No regrets
There is frequent communication between our managers and the training providers, this is great for helping us stay organised.
We have frequent catch-up meetings with our managers for any questions we have. This is also helpful as we identify any issues and ways to improve.
Our training providers hold fortnightly catch-up calls for us to discuss any questions.
My qualification (DevOps Engineer Level 4) will enable me to better understand and manage services in Azure. This will help me to be a better contribution to my team as I can work alongside the Engineers to manage cloud infrastructure.
HR set up social activities for networking with the other apprentices within the company. There are also training sessions for us to develop our professional skills.
