The role involved supporting Diversity and Inclusion events, benchmarks, meetings, training organisation, budget management and webpage updates as well as the Listening Strategy through the employee survey programme and Glassdoor page management.
I learnt/developed the following skills: - Prioritisation and time management - Communication - Collaboration - Adaptability
I really enjoyed my programme as it allowed me develop numerous skills and expand my knowledge of Human Resources. It also allowed me to develop my confidence.
It was well structured. On my first week, I received an overview of what to expect each week until the end of my programme which was really helpful. I had one day a week to specifically focus on BPP work e.g. webinars, essays etc and the other 4 days involved on the job learning.
I received a lot of support from my employer whilst doing this apprenticeship. This came from the Early Careers team as well as my own team. My manager was incredibly supportive throughout this and helped me get involved in different opportunities to help with my essays etc. I had weekly 1:1 meetings with my manager and different members of my team.
The provider was supportive. I had regular webinars, guidance documents to support essays and also a regular catch up with my provider contact to go through progress and any questions. The work completed throughout my apprenticeship gave a really strong foundation for the end point assessment work.
The qualification helped me learn the business structure and about different areas of HR which supported the day to day tasks in my role.
There are D&I and Corporate Social Responsibility employee networks to get involved in and the Early Careers team also organised social activities for apprentices and grads.

It was a great company to start my career with through an apprenticeship and my team and my manager were really supportive throughout the course. I've stayed on at Fidelity after my apprenticeship which has been great.
