as a mechanical design apprentice i use modelling softwares to design engineered devices to be implemented on site. i assit my team with engineering decisions and work together to arrive at the most suitable solution
- CAD - dramatically increased my soft skills such as communication and collaboration... - organisation - general engineering knowledge and now how - a range of skills which i perhaps dont recognise right now...
the programme has been thoroughly enjoyable and once i understood the reasoning for things there wasnt a second i didnt enjoy
the lvl 3 itself is well structured and both cavendish nuclear and training 2000 made it clear what was required for my level 3. i must say when it comes to furthur development things were unclear and it became abit confusing. my score will reflect the lvl 3 structure
i believe i was lucky to come across some great people who were willing to help however i know this isnt the case for alot of people. and with no dedicated EC officer for my area some may have felt as if they were on their own.
support was excellent
the skills i learnt with my training provider have become essential. they gave me the base knowledge i required. i refer to my experiences from my training provider daily
yes several however they could be communicated better... i think i only know of them through speaking to others...
Yes
I am having a fantastic experience. i personally have been supported quite well (not the same for all apprentices). i really look forward to the future and my progression within Cavendish Nuclear
If possible get some work experience/internship in nuclear previously. learn our principles and demonstrate them. come to careers fairs and chat to us.
