Developing a good understanding of client issues and be able to contribute to all aspects of project delivery whilst also contributing to internal, non-client facing activities within my team and throughout Arcadis
I've developed a variety of skills but more notably - Confidence in executing task's that I wouldn't usually do along - Prioritising of task / task management - IT desktop competencies
It's been good, especially with how supportive and the constant engaging opportunities that have risen in my time of being an apprentice
It's well-structured; we have regular meet-ups with other apprentices in the team who have the same training provider, where we go through temp checks and provide updates on where we're at in our apprenticeship, which is followed by offered assistance. My line manager's and business coach's communication was open and consistent, allowing all of us to be on the same page regarding my course and next steps, with my course being outlined at the outset and documents provided as reminders.
The support is good, we have training modules that intend to develop our skillset further throughout the course of our apprenticeship that help with our day to day activities along with the necessary support when we're in projects/workshops
A huge amount of support, ranging from an apprentice community that allows apprentices to ask each other questions for help with courses/assignments to events on beneficial topics that help us develop throughout and after my apprenticeship.
They purposefully include relevant topics surrounding our course that allowed me to regularly apply what was taught. Because of how consistent it is, along with the useful information provided through masterclasses and associated document brief's on assignments, I'm able to transfer that knowledge into what I've gathered in my gained experienced in being practical.
There's a variety of social events that take place within the office on different themes dependant on the time of the year and there's a number of sport teams e.g football & hockey that are available to all levels including apprentices
