I generally do date check, Monday is long and short date and Thursdays are short date. I do reductions on the days I am in. I also serve customers on tills, put out stock, chilled, grocery and frozen. I face up, keep the shop tidy. Help customers with queries and questions.
This is my 1st proper retail job and have learnt so much in 17 months. I've become more confident and enjoy working for Iceland. I've learnt how to do date check and date alerter, using back stock mode, printing new tickets for items. I've learnt how to read a planogram.
I've only just started it so can't say too much but I definitely looking to doing and becoming a more confident and member of the team, I was a supervisor in my previous job, then took a break to have a family now this is my 1st job back
The program seems easy to follow and have the support of members of the team amd work and my coach too. The layout of the website is easy and self explanatory to navigate, everything is broken down into segments which are easy to find. Its clear and easy to dip in and out of
My boss and a team leader were the ones to encourage me to join the program and my boss seems to be on board with allocating time away from the work place to do the work. Communicating with him about it is easy to do and he's on board
Like I've said before, I've only just started and haven't met my coach yet. I am meeting her on the 23rd March. She is the coach for all the apprentices on it store do im sure we will see her often and will be easy to get hold of if we need her.
It will give more confidence to become a team leader and a few staff thought i already was in the way I communicate with them.
No, there aren't any social events, we did try to plan Xmas night out but that didn't happen but will try again this year
