On a day to day basis as a duty manager my role is to ensure the shop is clean tidy filled with stock and staff know what their job is for the day. At the start of the day I issue the tills and at the end of the day I close the store down, do the cashing up and banking.
Yes I have. I have learnt that body language is key to a positive customer experience if your body language is negative the customer will more than likely not return and tell their friends and family about there experience but if you have positive body language the shopping experience is better for the customer and they are more likely to return.
I really enjoyed the programme that I am on and I can’t wait to start level 3 then go onto level 4 so I can learn more.
The programme I am on is well structured and my tutor is very understanding of my learning difficulties and gives me the help when I need it
I get all the support I need from my employer. He is always asking how I’m getting on if he can help with anything and always makes time to sit down with me and review what I have done and what I need to do.
I get loads of support from my training provider. I also get additional support from them for my learning difficulties.
I feel the qualification will help because I have learnt in more depth how the business is run and what goes on behind the scenes on the running and maintaining a successful business
Yes we have area conferences where all the stores in the area get together and celebrate people’s achievements and we get the chance to meet/talk to staff and managers from other stores
Yes
It is a great programme to be enrolled on, I have learnt there is a lot more to working/running a shop.
Take your time and enjoy it. It is hard work at times but push on keep going it’s worth it in the end.
