    5/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The course is enjoyable as it gives me an opportunity to learn new things and so far there hasn't been a great deal of pressure to suddenly be good at my role.

    8/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course started poorly - spending weeks trying to teach yourself with little input from course tutors, the levels of assistance have improved over time. Most work tasks are too big to do without guidance and most staff are too busy to spend a long time providing assistance.

    3/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • This can vary - there is no pressure and everyone understands our limitations and needs but it seems like the teams are too stretched to have anyone spending time clearly explaining and helping with work.

    7/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive emails with help, extra tuition and meetings with the training provider and work management in order to discuss progress and make sure things are on track.

    9/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It gives a base to start learning from and introduces you to aspects of work that you may not deal with in the work itself

    7/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there are different clubs you can join and events to go to like coffee mornings and speaking events.

    9/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Barclays to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • All the staff are very friendly and accommodating, a very relaxed atmosphere and allowed to just get on with your job.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Be prepared for a lot of self learning but also be aware that everyone is very supportive and there to help.
