On a typical day, I will Review project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure they align with project goals and objectives. Attend project meetings and take notes to document discussions and action items. Communicate project status updates to team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Identify and mitigate project risks by proactively addressing issues and escalating to senior management as needed.
I have learnt multiple skills including project planning, monitoring and calculating project finances, my communication skills have greatly improved from hosting and attending meetings daily. Lastly I have learnt how to interact with clients and stakeholders in the correct professional manner.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme, everyday I'm progressing and developing skills I have learnt. The responsibilities I have been given, give me confidence in my role as senior management will have you trust in you to carry out your roles.
The Programme is well structed and provides a range of opportunities to enable you to find what career path you want to follow. There is are lots sports and social events which helps you meet other apprentices and graduates.
I receive a lot of support from my fellow employees and early careers team at CGI. Anytime I have an issue it is quickly resolved and support is always provided.
The University is good with supporting students and provides students the opportunities to submit complaints and give feedback to lecturers as some of the topics have not been taught to the correct standard.
It helps in terms of learning the basics of IT infrastructure, security , management and time management. However the course is it not vert relatable to my current role and many of skills are not transferable.
