Can range from opening the kitchen to closing down. Mise en place for lunch and evening service from desserts to main la e. Using prep and par to create prep lists. Due diligence for daily checks
First kitchen job so all the day to day tasks, working on the line
I really enjoy the programme. The processes of cooking from scratch, respect for the products from butchering and filleting meat and fish.
Other than few changes to what criteria needed to pass been very good
A lot of support from ensuring days off and hours are structured around the days away
Loads. Lots of communication and aid to get past any issues
Better understanding of products and processes that although not used day to dat have aided in broader knowledge to incorporate to our needs
Social parties for Christmas etc. group chat with colleagues who are now friends. Mabsterchef last year which allowed to go out of business for competition and then to awards to cook for a large banquet style
