  • Using different data analytics programme to generate insights to support business decisions.

  • Through the programme, we have different trainings regarding to SQL, Excel, Python through internal and external providers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • So far, I am enjoying the programme as it provide me a chance to try new things, develop my skillsets which lead me to a better career path. Although, time is limited which sometimes I am struggling to learn different data languages at the same time.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was not very clear on the hiring process. I do not know am I getting the offer or not until the HR sent out a meeting invite. Since the programme start, not clear on the OTJ requirement, we not able to use work laptop to access university materials.

  • Line manager fully support with the university lecturers and provided helps when asked.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I can asked 121 catch up with the module lecturer for advices. And there is some support sessions after each module lessons which provide an opportunity for us to ask questions.

  • Helps a lot on logical thinking and also some skillsets.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there is some end of year activity, regular team meetings and a chance can go to other office to meet the rest of the team.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Barclays not only a bank, but also provide training opportunity like Apprenticeship for people not having qualifications in UK before. Also the other benefits like pension, life assurance etc is a plus.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Choose the aspects you like and passion, look for the opportunities regularly.
