In my current role i am the administration assistant. My daily duties include ODAS which is our Online Document Authorisation System. Ordering materials for our customers. The daily up keeping of paper work, filing and storing. I also answer the telephone and pick customers orders from the warehouse when other members of staff are busy.
The main skill i have developed through my apprenticeship would be confidence in asking more questions and speaking in front of groups of people. Another thing that has stuck with me is all the different charts i learnt about that help when creating projects to help you lay out time frames and step by step guides.
I enjoyed it very much. I got to meet new people who were doing the same apprenticeship as myself and we would help each other out. I enjoyed the zoom meetings we would have and my coach was exceptional in helping me out whenever i needed help. I also enjoyed the little projects that were set out as this was a learning opportunity.
The programme was very organised. We would know way in advance when we had zoom meetings or one to one meetings with the apprenticeship coach. Every Stage was very well detailed in the ILP and there were step by step guides on exactly what you had to do, what had to be put in your casework and
I received all the support i needed from my employer. I had an apprenticeship buddy who helped me out when i need it. He had already done an apprenticeship a few years before so he had an idea on what i should do. I also received support from my line manager whenever i asked.
Any time i needed any help my apprenticeship coach was on hand. I got the most support from Clare as she knew exactly what i needed to do and would guide me in the right direction every time i asked for help, whether that was on course work or my end point assessment she was there every step of the way.
I think it has helped me very well. I learnt things in the apprenticeship programme that has given me a better understanding of my responsibilities and the knowledge and skills they need to do my job. It has also given me more confidence and a better ability to speak out and ask questions.
We often go out for meals and drinks in my team. we are only a small team so it is a great way of socialising after work. We also did a 100 mile treadmill walk for charity during work hours which was a great event and we raised £250 for McMillan

I enjoy working for Travis Perkins. I have been with the company for two and a half years now. as well as being given the opportunity to do my apprenticeship, i have also been given the opportunity to gain my forklift license. I think there are so many benefits for working for Travis Perkins and i would definitely recommend it.
Go for it! the benefits you can receive are great, the team members are brilliant and the environment is great. There are so many opportunities to progress with Travis Perkins. I thought i was just going to work in a warehouse when i first joined, i have been pleasantly surprised.
