Participated in various professional services sessions aimed at developing interpersonal and presentational skills whilst gaining an in depth insight into a one of the most recognised professional services firms Presented performance improvement measures of case study firms to clients and partners Shadowed the Financial Services Asset Management Audit team and presented what I learned to a team of senior heads at EY
In addition, there was the opportunity to develop networking skills as lots of networking lunches were organised with EY employees. There were also lunches organised with senior members of the firm and their clients, so networking was easy.
I really appreciated being associated with this firm, and I feel privileged that I have worked here. It has given me the ability to learn new things and unlock my potential.
We were all fast tracked for the EY scholarship to interview stage, so didn't have to sit online tests .etc., showing EY valued our taking part on the programme.
There is proper training to get familiar with the business environment. The programme schedule was also well organised. For example, there were visits to the Chartered Accountants HQ, where we got a tour and learnt about how to become chartered accountants.
All questions we had regarding the business were answered well so we had an idea of what EY did and learnt business vocab
My mentor provided support and encouragement to me throughout my final school year, helping me make those all-important decisions about further education and careers.
Traveling costs weren't reimbursed but that wasn't a problem with the salary/package offered
We get invited to lots of alumni events and other EY sponsored events. The rest of the opportunities were organised within the group of students, as we were in London, this was quite fun.
