I work as an apprentice on the KPMG Clara Data Analytics Team. This role involves leveraging data analytical tools to provide key insights to Audit Teams. On a day-to-day I am responsible for extracting and processing data from an Audited entities ERP system.
I have had the opportunity to develop several new skills on this apprenticeship. My team is very trusting and allowed me to get involved in a range of tasks that ultimately enhanced my technical knowledge. My communication and presentation skills have also been enhanced through my role.
I really enjoy my programme, it is challenging at times to juggle both work and university commitments however I definitely believe its worth it. This apprenticeship has ultimately boosted my confidence as I have obtained great industrial knowledge whilst working towards a degree.
The programme is well structured and there is support available for apprentices. KPMG provide me with study days that are purely dedicated towards my university commitments which has really helped me stay on top of my job role and study requirements
I receive support from my employer to expand my knowledge and diversify my skillset. I am encouraged and granted the opportunity to get involve with a range of tasks.
BPP offers 2 hour lectures per week for each topic. This gives us the chance to interact and collaborate with lecturers on a weekly basis.
My training provider has centred a few of our assignments in alignment to our job role. Often we are tasked with suggest an innovative solution to an issue we have identified within our team.
I have been involved in a few networking events at work and I deem them to be a great way to meet new people and gain a deeper understanding of the business as a whole.
