I do swept path analysis, i write reports, GIS, accessibility mapping, organising projects, create travel surveys. I work with transport planners at all levels and work closely with directors. I also work with civil engineers and housing companies and councils.
I've learnt skills on microsoft appliances, AutoCAD, Autoturn, BricsCAD, QGIS, TRACC. I have developed skills including email writing and report writing and communicating with other professionals.
I really enjoy my degree apprenticeship. Learning and earning at the same time is definitely my best choice.
The university programme is structure well but is not organised very well. If it was organised better it would improve my learning
soooooo much support, my line managers and staff around me really support my learning and development
I recieve some support towards my qualification but this is quite limited. I have to ask persistently for this support but overall i get given the support when asked for it
I learn more about the transport sector and manage to apply this into my work. Through academic writing, this enables me to write more detailled reports at work about certain structures
To develop my CPD, i can attend different CIHT events, including a summer barbeque and an awards evening. This helps to develop my communication skills with professional individuals
