I am a 1st Assistant manager and I am responsible for running the McDonald's Restaurant under guidance from my business manager. I am responsible for all levels of manamgent, their development. Ensuring that we hit key metrics day to day, as well as analysing our performance and looking for improvement
I have developed skills in finance and accounting. in the last year I have really began to understand the Profit and Loss sheets as well as being in charge of making decisions towards budgets.
I enjoy it a lot, it really opens up my eyes to the wider world of business and is interesting to me as I have worked for McDonalds for so long, yet I am confident that the skills I obtained along the way will help me in the future, should I ever choose to leave.
Very well organised and structures, you know exactly what you are doing at all times and what is expected of you. If you are unable to participate in weekly activities, they are still there for you to catch up on.
I get enough support from my employer yet I know that its down to me to get the time I need to complete my assignments.
If I need support I just have to ask for it and then you receive great amounts. obviously if your struggling, like I did for a period, you just need to make people aware and not suffer in silence. The training provider knows how difficult it is to balance.
I can look at elements of my work more objectively and know the importance of menial tasks and integrity.
I have been invited to a few through uni, not so many from work.
Yes
Its helped me grow and supported me in hard times. its a really nice work environment. every day is different and is what you make of it.
Make sure that you listen to what you are being taught and take on the advice of others. be independent and self led. if you want to find the answer then go and get it. don't wait for others to lead you.
