To clean the rooms within the hotel following premier inns brand standards ready for a new guest to check into. Keeping the hotel clean and tidy and making sure clean linen in stored correctly.
I have learnt how to be more confident with working alongside others and the different steps that it takes to help run a hotel smoothly. I have also learnt about the role of the head house keeper and the skills it takes to do this.
I have enjoyed the fact it has kept me busy, I have enjoyed working alongside my head housekeeper to make the hotel a better place to stay and work in.
At the beginning I was promised alot of help and time doing the apprenticeship, I found this very difficult to find. Towards the end of my apprenticeship it all finally fell into place and now have the help I need.
At the beginning of the apprenticeship I found I didn't receive any support from my employer, but my head housekeeper stepped in and helped me. I now have a an excellent apprenticeship coach.
I have excellent support now from my training provider and just wished I had her from the start.
I am more confident in working with others and it does help my trainer believes in me which helps my confidence
