I take payments from customers, answer calls, advise customers on knowledge that I do know, deal with holidays extras like airport car parking and I shadow my colleagues majority of the time so I can learn the process of the systems and booking customers holidays etc.
I am developing many transferable skills on the day to day basis such as customer service, confidence and communication, multi tasking and organisation skills,
I love this opportunity as it expands my knowledge and growth as a person. I am learning transferable skills that are going to help me in the future. This apprenticeship opens many doors for me and gives me that confidence as a person.
This programme is highly organised. I am constantly in a routine due to this apprenticeship. I come in knowing what I need to do, what my tasks are and what I need to achieve.
Here, I receive plenty of support from my employer and my colleagues. I feel comfortable asking for any advice and help I need.
I can get advice I need when I am unsure on something, I love how I am challenged and sometimes put on the spot to try and work things out for myself. I think this is a great way for me to learn these things faster and more confidently.
It gives me the knowledge and skills I need. The environment I am in gives me confidence and great ways to expand my skills on customer service. This is great for my growth as a person and as an apprentice.
We have plenty of team calls to learn more about the company. We have this amazing opportunity where we can be chosen to go away and explore a certain place and hotel.
Yes
It's good to gain these transferable skills. It's a great environment to be in to grow as a person and learn great things. What better way to end the day knowing you have booked someones perfect holiday. It feels so rewarding knowing you have made someone happy.
Just always keep the excitement and enthusiasm up when dealing with customers as here at TUI we want to make their holiday memorable from the very start and have them exited the whole way.
