in my day to day role i manage risk and compliance for my area of the bank, my day consists of a lot of meetings and face to face interactions. I have the responsibility to make sure my area of the bank have what they need like stationary or paper
i have learn a lot of new skills, a few of these are, time management, responsibility, confidence, social integrations and a lot more. i have also developed of my previous skills like attendance, focus and patience. this apprenticeship has helped me a lot with this as i have new tasks everyday
i really enjoy the program i am in as my skills coach is great and is very supportive, my line manager also helps me out a lot. The business admin apprenticeship includes a loy of interesting topics that I feel will benefit me and my future career and would highly recommend.
my program is very well structured, the system we use to upload and submit work is very simple and easy to use- it is very easy to talk to your manager and see your set tasks for the month. it is very easy to find previous work and all the feedback
i do get a lot of support from my manager, with day to day tasks we go through everything together and make sure everything is on track, for example keeping on track f deadlines and tasks that were set from other individuals in my team of area of the bank
my coach does help me a lot when t comes to reaching the highest grade in my apprenticeship. i get really detailed feedback from my coach and this helps me understand where i need to work on and what went well. we also have monthly check-ins and this helps me a lot
i highly think that my coursework does benefit me in my day to day role as it helps me learn more about my organization and the importance of the tasks that i carry out on aa day to day basis. it helps me understand the processes and the benefits of what i do
no, and i think this could be imrpovd, there are not many activities or social events for apprentices. there are a few networking evnts but its more for everyone and is very broad not really towards just apprentices and i think this would be a great thing to get working oon
Yes
NatWest is a great place to work at, the people here are great, the atmosphere is great and there is a lot of support available from your managers. it is a great way to gain experience as well as a qualification i would highly recommend working at NatWest or strting an apprenticeship here
i would say, try to focus on an area of the bank that you are really interested in. think about where you would like to see your self in the future and go for an apprenticeship that also meets the criteria of what you would like to see of your self.
