i receive requests from engineers then i work along side them to complete the requests, I work with Computer aided design software such as AutoCAD. this can vary from simple requests to more complex and time consuming requests such as 3d models of sites and processes as well as meetings and conversation with engineers.
yes I have learnt new skills such as using AutoCAD, Revit, using excel as well as other skills which I learn daily with the help of others including mentors and other apprentices on the same apprenticeship, these include presentation skills, understanding data from requests and using common data environments to store data.
i really enjoy this apprenticeship and learning while earning, this is a great opportunity to learn from others more experienced than myself while getting a qualification and be able to develop myself and join a team that I can help and be comfortable when I need help or asking for assistants.
at the start the apprenticeship was not structured at all and now with a new apprenticeship provider the experience is much better and I am actually learning while working and I am able to complete assignments and get the help I need from the learning provider as well as my manager and team.
i receive all the help i ask for and whenever I am unsure about anything I always get the help I need from my mentor or other apprentices within my team as well as the engineers that I work along side of while completing my day to day work that is assigned to me.
with my training provider, I receive a lot of help and support from the learning provider and my tutors, this includes help with in lessons which helps me understand the structure of the assignments as well as the exams and any other requirements that I need to complete my apprenticeship.
i feel like my qualification which is through my training provider helps me understand the importance of health and safety, living spaces and the requirements when working in the construction environment. I feel like it is important to understand these as health and safety is very important in the construction industry.
yes I do, I get involved in the networking socials which are created by the apprenticeship team these are for the apprentices to socialise and understand each other's roles within the business and how the work in between each other works together and ends up becoming an successful project
Yes
I would recommend severn trent water to my friends because seven trent water is a really good apprenticeship program and the support given is really good. the wage is good as an apprentice. and a good holiday plan with really good benefits and perks of working for sever trent water
my tips/advice would be to be honest in your CV, show that you're willing to learn and that you're able to learn and adapt to the environment quickly. make sure you have some time to study seven trent water as a company and how it operates as well as how severn trent wants to become carbon neutral and other facts about the company.
