My day to day job titles me working at JD Witherspoon I work on the bar as a bar associate I also help out on the floor and we all work as a team. Working on the BAR means that I serve customers on a daily basis working on the BAR has given me it skills because of the tills.
I’ve learnt many new skills working on the bar I thought the laws of working on the bar and I’ve also learnt how to be vigilant from now on when someone is drunk and to when they’re not, I’ve also learn how to deal with very difficult customers.
Apprenticeship program is something I really enjoy because I get to learn a lot of new information every day I also get to share this information with my team which some of them won’t know. The program has opened my eyes to a lot of possibilities within the catering hospitality sector.
The program is very organised and structured. This means that I can complete my work whenever I want. As long as I’m getting in on time I met new people such as my coach and many more people I am also completing my maths qualification. I have met new people on there and learn a lot of different skill for that.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. My manager is always there for me if I have any questions and also my team, if I ever have a question about what the apprenticeship is trying to ask me to help me choose the right answer and they are always there for me
I receive Support from my training provider. I have a one-to-one sessions to make sure that I’m on track. If I have any questions I can always ask the training provider, also knows what I need to accomplish within my career, such as they are helping me receive a promotion that I want him within my workplace
The qualification helps me perform better in my role because I learn new things every day which I need to know within my role such as how to deal with complaints and many more. The qualification has opened my eyes to many more opportunities. I feel 100% I choose in the apprenticeship
There isn’t any social activities, sport teams or even professional network events, but there are online classes for maths and English and many more qualifications that you can receive.
