I am a front of house team leader, which means I run shifts as a duty manager, I make sure reservations are assigned to a table to avoid double bookings. I help with beer deliveries, and I generally help manage the rest of the team by giving pre-shift briefs.
I have been given a deeper insight into the management side of hospitality and running a business. I have also developed all of my existing skills in the hospitality industry, making me confident at dealing with situations and have become more confident in running shifts and managing the team on my own.
I am thoroughly enjoying learning about the financial and behind the scenes of running a business. I am looking forward to working with my coach and general manager to progress in the company and learning all about the targets that have to be met.
From my experience so far I think it is a well structured programme that is very enlightening and helpful.
I have so far received a lot of help and support from my employer and coach.
I have received a lot of help and support from my training provider. She is always on the end of the phone to answer questions which is really helpful.
I have become a stronger leader and I am more willing to try my hand at new things.
We don not have any extra curricular activities, unfortunately.
