I am primarily based on the front desk serving customers paying for their items. I also answer queries face to face and over the phone. I also do online orders with customers, pick click and collects, change labels, do stock checks, plannograms, book Design Consultant appointments.
Yes I have learnt how to use a till, taking payments and doing refunds. I have also learnt about different products and uses. I have also learnt to use different software on the computers. I have developed my customer service skills and interactions with a range of people.
I have really enjoyed the programme and learning about different aspects of the business. In particular I have enjoyed visiting other stores as part of my natural learning and shadowing other colleagues to learn more about their roles.
The programme is well structured and flows well building on to each area.
My employer has been supportive. However there were times when I was unable to receive the designated weekly time due to staff absence/holidays so had to cover. I would have also liked more than just a day here and there to work in different departments.
The training provider has been really good, especially my trainer who has been really supportive throughout .
I am now more knowledgeable and capable of doing more in my role.
Not that I am aware of.
Yes
It has been a good experience to learn customer service skills that I can take forward with me.
Be yourself!
