  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a Sales assistant on the counter. On a day-to-day basis, I look after the shop with stock and displays and making sure it is safe. I also serve the customers to my best ability, offering different services via phone calls, emails and face-to-face.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • This job was a complete reset from what I was doing before. I have learnt so much with the product range and the different terminology from different customers, but the biggest one would be my IT skills. I have not used a computer this much in a business before.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider was extremely helpful throughout. I started with a few people and after everyone besides me backed out, my mentor stuck by me and continued with me along my journey. He motivated me through everything and helped with everything he could. I even had some extremely bad days, but he took time out of his day to reassure me that I had this and to keep going. The constant support was outstanding, I could not have done it without him.
