Work on and support audit engagements in cooperation with a larger audit team. This can also include working from client site and working with client staff to assure the accuracy of financial information.
I have learnt about the general audit process as well as knowledge regarding more complex financial statement sections.
I very much enjoyed working with a multitude of teams and people.
The programme is very well organised and my responsibilities were made clear from the start.
There are many mediums of support available. I found have a buddy and career coach very useful as they were able to support me with and queries I had.
I am returning to university to complete exams each summer. I found that talking to those at the firm with experience of said exams to be very useful.
The encouragement of feedback allows me to identify the best ways to improve. In addition, everyone working is very good at coaching someone at a lower pay grade such as myself.
There were many opportunities for social events but personally never attended any.
Yes
Very flexible working approach. There is a clear focus on employees and assuring they have the best environment for their work. Everyone their is very friendly and is looking to provide a high standard service, whilst recognising peoples successes.
Be yourself, trying to tick boxes that you think a typical employer would have is not the way to go. I would say half the job is being the right person that can communicate and approach a situation effectively whilst still having the high standard knowledge.
