Work at the same level as an AS1. In the office from 9-5:30 - sometimes later if required. Responsibilities differ from each job but mainly preparing EGAs, requesting documents from the client and documenting any samples given. Supporting members of my team when they need help with their work load.
I have developed my technological skills massively. I can navigate my way around different tools PwC use such as Aura. By working on clients and being part of engagement teams, my knowledge of audit has increased and understanding. I can now apply my audit skills to my exams due to having real life scenarios to relate back to.
I am enjoying my programme thoroughly. It gives you the opportunity to live as a uni student whilst doing 3 month placements during the year which gives you the experience. You also complete 12/15 of your ICAEW exams which means it is a fast track to becoming a chartered accountant.
the programme is well structured. You spend the first term learning all the content for your exams so when you are on placement you are not expected to learn any content or revise which allows you to fully focus on the task required.
Support on placement is really good. there are always people to contact for different questions and everyone is keen to help. During first term, there were placement meetings where we were told more about what to expect and two weeks worth of online training was given before starting our placements
you receive support. you have access to icaew which has questions and workbooks to help with your exams
It builds a basis knowledge for when you start placement. it increases the efficiency of your work as you are able to complete things quicker
there are a range of different teams you can join. you join an industry group which gives you the chance to go an socialise with them for drinks after work of for breakfast.
Yes
they are a good company who look out for their employees. they offer a range of different opportunities for you to get involved in
Be confident in your answers and understand the key values of PwC and their visions
