I am a Technology Degree Apprentice in software engineering pathway. Being involved in daily sprints, team meetings, studying towards a certification, working on a project with fellow apprentice and being involved in projects as a software tester and developer. Responsibility - gain technical experience by studying and getting certifications.
Here at PwC, there are numerous opportunities to gain and excel your skills and as an apprentice, I have been able to be given an opportunity to develop wider range of skills like technical and interpersonal skills like teamwork when working on a project together and javascript programming language.
The programme is precisely what I was looking for. It is a great-opportunity to learn about different types of technologies used within the firm. Getting benefits from the support-system and enjoying getting paid! Also meeting variety of amazing professionals from office socials and great networking. hands-on training alongside other apprentices.
The program is very well organised and structured. You are given time-table of meetings and training in advance which is great way to plan your day and be organised. They give you plenty of time to get comfortable in your roles and plenty support available.
We receive ongoing support from our employer. We have been assigned a career coach and a buddy to support us during the program, we can go to them if we have a question or worries. We also receive excellent-support from Manager that help us have enjoyable time in the firm.
There are numerous-support available, there are materials and books available to support you and recorded-videos to help us to go back if we're stuck in something. Also, if they are not able in help then you can always reach out to your other networks such as career-coach and buddys.
Highly well! Working towards the qualification interlinks with my job performance. A professional qualification can expand your skillsets. You can gain job-related skills, as well as refreshing and updating your knowledge. Not only do you get to learn the theoretical knowledge but also apply it practically on the job.
There's a lot of social activities like Inspiring learning day and celebrations, there's a foodie group that I'm part of which is a great way of making connections and getting to know everyone.
