the day to day running of the hotel team management payroll rotas recruiting assisting my hotel manager. reporting back to my manager finance, following company policies and procedures, training and developing. dealing with stocks and wastage for the business. dealing with profit and loss for the business. promoting the brand
my management skills have improved massively, being able to run a business, knowing the ins and outs of a business and what it takes to run a business. becoming more confident as a person and becoming a role model. being able to train and develop other employees too as well as myself.
i thoroughly enjoy it, its helped me learn new ways of managing my team, helped me develop new ways of learning , with different models for example the ADKAR model. its taught me new ways to communicate and also gave me confidence within my role. i have learnt a lot of new things to help better myself and the business.
now that we have aptem its a lot more structured and organised. the first programme we used was slightly more difficult but after changing to this its more simpler and breaks things down so its easier to understand and do. also its broken down into sections so you know which part you need to focus on.
i do have a lot of support from my employer. if there is anything i need help with or assistance with i can 100% say my employer will be there to support.
I can also say that i receive 100% support from my training provider. no matter what issue i have with the work load or any other issues for that matter i definitely receive the right support
it helps me perform so much better, its gave me so much more knowledge and confidence to do my role, i have learnt and done things that i never thought i would.
