I manage the mornings , so make sure breakfast goes well and is organised, complete cashing up , engaged with guests , answer queries , serve at the bar , fill in our data and update scores , assign rooms , check guests in , make sure all rooms are clean . Handover and make sure everything is ok for evening
I develop skills daily as always new stuff and things that pop up , I learn more about the day to day running of things , I learning the kitchen and food ordering of things , my apprenticeship helps me look at things more deeply . My team skills are very good along with my managerial ones
I really enjoy it , I had a break as I needed to focus on others things but since returning it’s like I havnt left . Mary is great and really easy to talk to am excited to finish and get an extra qualification. Looking forward to my face to face visit
The new program where everything is in one place is a lot better as you can log on and see it all in the same place . My team calls are always scheduled around me and are very accommodating. Mary makes it clear what I need to do and helped sort out all my bits before I went on a break
My employer doesn’t really get involved to much with my apprenticeship but I know if I asked her for anything or needed help she would . I mainly just get on with it and arrange things around myself . The Apprentership scheme is definitely a great thing to add whilst your working there
]very supportive, where it’s over email or teams , we have a one to one catch up soon which am looking forward to . She has helped me get all my bits in order on the new system and tells me if I need something doing . She’s always happy with my answers
Gives you a deeper understanding and a broader outlook on things . It helps you look and understand your skills and highlights your strengths and weakness . I also feel like if just bennifts as it’s a qualification in something I already do so it’s nice to say I have achieved something
I get involved in our GOSH fundraising, in January I walked 121 for the charity . We also have lots more planned through out the year to help raise funds .if we have work nights out or arrange a breakfast I will always attend . So lots more activities coming this year
