Receptionist, dealing with the day to day needs of all guests. This could be face to face, on the telephone or email. Making sure the guests experience is the best from the minute they enter the site right up to the minute they leave always being their first port of call.
Through out my 17 months with whitbread I have not only learnt lots of new skills but also developed and improved the many skills I brought with me from a previous career. I have learnt by doing things myself but also by watching and asking other people questions regarding the role
My apprenticeship programme has kept me engaged the whole time, I have enjoyed mainly being in control of my own learning. I’ve learnt about digging deeper into things I may have a small amount of knowledge about. The way in which the programme is planned means you don’t really get bored.
I live the way the programme is organised and structured. It means that you can move ahead at ur own pace but is also clearly payed out as to when certain work needs to be completed. This means you can work at a pace that suits your individual needs always
I have always been somebody that has worked very independently. There have been times where I may have not quite know the answers so I can use my employer to bounce ideas off to make sure I’m going in the right direction. My employer will always check I am on track
My training provider has been amazing. I have been extremely lucky. If there is ever anything I am struggling with or just need that bit of confidence then they are on the other end of the phone or email. My regular meeting are always informative and gives me all the correct tools to move forward.
I definitely think my training has helped me to learn and understand so much more than I did in the beginning. I have not only learnt so much but it’s given me the confidence to preform my job to a high standard. I think it has helped me to excel quicker
My work does not really provide extra activities at this point in time. Moving forward it maybe something to suggest and help to get members working better together but also help each other along the way as we all have different knowledge that we could easily share to help eachother
Yes
Whitbread have helped me to turn my life around. They have given me a job, great friends and helped me to further my education at a time when I didn’t think that was at all possible. They are supportive and constantly offer oppertunities to better your self. Great company
Be positive, honest, loyal and strong. You will be joining a company that doesn’t just count you as an employee but a person also. Amazing opportunities. A company that wants people to be happy and you don’t get much of that anymore. Just be you and the rest will come
