Providing emotional and educational support to a range of SEN children. Printing and photocopying worksheets for the class teacher. Planning ELSA activities for SEN children. Playground duty - supervising children at playtime. Classroom displays.
I have learnt warning signs to look out for in situations where a child may be radicalised. I have developed my skills of arts when doing class displays.
I thoroughly enjoy the apprenticeship. I have learnt so much and this has allowed me to feel more confident in the workplace and I am able to trust my instincts a lot more now.
Very well organised. I have monthly meetings with my mentor. She is always an email away if I need any help. I am given 6 weeks to complete each unit. My mentor has challenged me and helped me get the most from my learning.
I receive regular support from my employer. They are very supportive and understanding. I am given a couple hours a week to complete any coursework or training.
Plenty of support. They are very understanding and always encourage me to keep at it so I can be the best that I can be.
Definitely! I am more confident in my role now. I am more aware of situations and how to deal with and overcome difficulties.
We have CPD opportunities for additional learning and for supporting the children. We have staff parties twice a year, where we can all get together outside of the workplace.
